Dry at US-27 when Lamont gauge was at 45.15.

My Report:

I planned to make the run from the launch off Federal Road #1 to River Sink and staged a pickup vehicle before sunrise; however, I noticed the river was dry when I crossed the US-27 Bridge. The Lamont gauge was at 45.15 at the time. I assumed to would be runnable because A Canoeing and Kayaking Guide to Florida and Canoeing and Kayaking Florida stated; “The minimum runnable level is 45 feet.” I would recommend 47 feet as the minimum runnable level if the Lamont gauge reading was correct.
