(Lake Lafayette Heritage Paddli) This is a close to Tallahassee paddle, with a lot of interesting plants. The North branch trip 5.2 mile can be done in about 2.5 hours. There are lots of frogs and fish, with some alligators and snakes.

The trip report made this paddle seem better than it actually was. There were two saving graces. First it was overcast and not too hot for August, when I loaded up at 11:00 a.m. it was 78 degrees. It didn't rain during the paddle. A big negative is there are no places to stop and stretch or do other necessary things. I found one solid bank about two miles into this trip. I am assuming that John and the brave souls that stuck with him were able to get out at the berm.
