Green Wave Mobile Imagine...

You're running late and forgot directions to the put-in. You can see the look on your paddling buddies faces now...

Maybe a last minute change of plans calls for the Santa Fe instead of the St. Johns and no one has GPS locations.

Or you're sitting in class, listening to another lecture on post- structuralist analysis of Stanley Kinitz's poetry and you find paddling much more of an "Intellectual Thing".

What to do?

Grab your Palm OS or Pocket PC handheld computer, or even your cell phone loaded with Opera Mini and go to

We dynamically reformat the content to fit your PDA or phone. Not only does it work, it's attractive and saves precious KB of data transmission by eliminating a bunch of the things you don't need.

Give it a try and get what you do need now.

Here's a sneak peek at a couple of screens to wet your appetite.

Green Wave Mobile This is a screen shot of the Green Wave Forum Home Page on a Dell Axim X3 running Microsoft Windows Pocket Internet Explorer.

You get every option the big desktop browsers do including login / logout, forums, trips, posting, calendars, club/business directory and more.

Green Wave Mobile Screen contents are dynamically resized to fit your device, not by shrinking images or making text so tiny you can't read it, but by carefully adjusting what needs to be displayed and changing the format for smaller screens.

Supported Pocket PC Browsers:

- Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer
- Opera for Windows Mobile (downloads)

Supported Palm OS Browsers:

- Netfront 3

Other Micro-browsers may work. Try them on Green Wave and let us know!

Green Wave Mobile Supported Cell Phone Browsers:

- Opera Mini 2.0 (Read about it here)

By the way, Opera Mini is a great little browser for accessing the complete web from your cell phone.

If you have a cell phone with built-in Java (and most do since 2002), open your phone's browser and key in:

That will start the download process. Follow the instruction on screen.

Once Opera Mini is installed, surf over to Green Wave Forum for all of your Florida paddling needs.

Are you curious how we did it?

We're using the latest version of Prosirius ClubSite. It's a program designed to bring the full potential of the web to outdoor and sporting clubs. Check it out.

Wow! This is pretty exciting! But the one gadget I don't own is a PDA. (I know, you wonder if I have running water.) And, my cell phone contract doesn't include unlimited texting and the stuff that goes with that-unlimited Internet access, I suppose. I'll have to think about upgrading, but nevertheless, I am impressed with the potential.
