Change of plans turned out to be a better trip

My Report:

Econfina River legs2
we first planned on doing the upper leg but found out at the last minute that it would have taken 8-10hrs so we didnt legs 2-5 from Walsingham Park to 388. we set up camp first them waited on a friend and his son to join us. A total of 6 of us were there. We launched around noon. The difficulty of the lower half is supposed to be easy. as far as the current went and sandbars it was very easy. the part that made it hard was limboing under 10 or so trees. I saw a spring that led back into the woods so we followed it. there we found several large tadpoles about 5" in length. the spring water was so clear you could drink it but we didnt. we continued to follow it and found ourselves at a campground. we stopped here to eat lunch. we were just above the canoe livery before SR-20. We got back on the water shortly after talking to a group of people who said it was another 2 hrs to SR 20 and 2+ hrs to 388 where the car was parked. From then on we continuosly paddled down the river only stopping once to pee. there were several springs down the river. several houses that i would love to live in. we didnt encounter any lose dogs that was mentioned in previous logs but heard dogs at two different places barking. it only took us an hour to get to SR 20 (but again we were non stop paddling and not letting the grass grow under us) and it was about 1 1/2 hrs till we got to 388 at 530pm. we still had 2 hrs of sunlight left. it would have been nice to take our time on the final two legs. next time we will start earlier. By the time we got to the car we were exhausted and ready for food and sleep. we packed up the kayaks and swung by a house on the way back to the campground for wood. got back to the campground kicked our feet up and laughed about the tree incidents we had on our trip. all i am going to say is a certain someone fell in the water several times trying to go under the trees where the gaps weren't. all and all it was a great time. looking forward to doing the upper leg when the water level goes up.
