Spring Creek is located on Highway 90 east of Marianna. There are two ways to put your boat in the creek. There is Spring Creek Park on the south side of 90, and also Turner's Landing which provides a flat, sandy spot to launch.

(Spring Creek/Turners Landing) Spring Creek is a short run from a dam at the foot of Merritt's Millpond to the Chipola River. The creek is crystal clear, shallow with some downfall and a limestone karst bottom. Continue down the Chipola to the Magnolia boat ramp.

I bet you are almost as proud of the turtle picture as you are of your grandson's first time on the water (ok, I exagerate).

Next visit to the the ancient yakdave home, I'm digging out the photo albums to see if any Poloroids of young yakdave still exist.

What a nice trip and thank you for sharing your family photos! Hopefully everyone, including baby, didn't get bitten by the mosquitoes too badly. Keep on paddling...
