 | paddlesolo on 5/2/2008 5:40pm | | As soon as one of my friends had heard I had been on Dry Creek she said she wanted to paddle up Spring Lake to find Double Springs, Springboard Springs, and Mill Pond Springs. So we did that today. It was 1 mile up a broad, weed choked clear run. Double Springs is on the left of Spring Lake and was blocked by a tree and there was two houses build on the banks, and "No Trespassing" and "No Fishing" signs. I did not pull over the log, or even take a picture I was so upset. Springboard Spring is up a spring run on the right. I will post pictures of it. Then I pulled through a small, shallow creek and came to another large spring. I think it is Mill Pond Spring. There was another large, weedy area and I think there are more than one spring in this area, but it was tired from all the effort and didn't go any further. We ate lunch in the water, and then paddled the additional 5 miles down Dry Creek. The pictures of the May 2 paddle are at the end of the first pictures t~ |
