Manatees, alligators, dolphins, fish, birds, no motorized vessels. What more could a paddler need ? Unique scenery- launch towers at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Cape Kennedy add a Space Age touch.

(Kelly Park) Myself and 4 other intrepid explorers paddled in the Banana River Lagoon from Kelly Park (2550 N Banana River Drive, Merritt Island). We had flat water most of the day, saw many interesting creatures, and paddled 15 miles.

So, it was a young bald eagle. Thanks for the other info too.

"Barge Canal" Doesn't sound like a place full of wildlife. But then, neither does "Haulover Canal" Wink
