A Bald Eagle dove on me up Doyle Creek. I think I was too curious about their nest. The Eagle didn't come close enough to really scare me, just warn me not to come closer.

I led a group of WFCKC paddlers on Doyle Creek, Friday, April 2. We paddled up to the primitive camping area, got out and ate a late lunch. Some paddlers turned around at that spot and went back to the put-in. 5 of us paddled further upstream to see an Osprey nest. We also saw bald eagles, and swallow-tailed kites during the paddle. Going back downstream was difficult due to an incoming tide and a head wind. The sand bar pictured on an earlier paddle was completely covered. Don't expect current to help on this paddle.
