(Bear Creek Near Panama City) Combination paddle. First half is narrow, nicely flowing creek. Second half is slow flowing, flat water through wide cypress bayous.

(Bear Creek - Panama City) Wow! This is an overlooked gem! Gorgeous from start to finish. First half almost identical to Econfina Creek starting at Walsingham Bridge. Second half is a leasure paddle through cypress bayous.

I am excited about a paddler finding a new paddling location in the area. I will see if I can move the report and give it a different title, maybe Bear Creek near PC.

Panama City Larry, we will want you to be our trip leader, and will coordinate with Quincypair later this fall.

Sounds like a 5 to me.

quincypair, paddlesolo ....

Being new to the area I was not sure if this final section was part of the Bear Creek Canoe Trail. Please advise what you think would be a proper place name.

Larry, Paddlesolo:

This is a totally different venue than the Bear Creek trail off Ocklockonee River State Park. Editor Paddlesolo, it needs a new place entry to itself. This is one that we need to try when we get back, how about it, Paddlesolo?
