Escambia River

Originating in Alabama the brown waters of Escambia River separate Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Much of the river is undeveloped and surrounded by low-lying floodplain forest. Fishing for catfish, bass and panfish is a popular activity.

(Sepulga Tributary of Escambia) Upstream, just across the Alabama state line, is Sepulga River, a tributary of the Escambia River. Sepulga dramatically runs as clear amber water through fern covered limestome canyon walls lined by water falls, swiss cheese limestone and old trees.

Guys, seriously! I had no clue on what the alien concrete object was used for. Initially thinking it was for a bridge, I looked on both banks and didn't see any other supports. Just weird that it's out there all by itself. As for FLA plants - I can tell you if it's a pine tree, palm tree or leafy tree. That's about it! Smile Thanks for clarifying!!! Let's get together and do some paddling.

Ed, that tree looks suspiciously like a Sweetgum tree. Thought you'd know that, just messing with us?

btw Ed that big round thing.. Grin just north of molino landing is a bridge pile from a bridge that was up many many moons ago
