(Key West Salt Ponds) The salt ponds were once used to mine salt. Today they are a nature sanctuary in the middle of Key West. Okay, it is right by the airport but in between take offs and landings it is quite serene!

Another Salt Ponds put in is a small pond at Fogarty and 10th. Paddle up a narrow canal to Riviera, then to the Salt Ponds.
