Basic Information

The Event: A fun filled four days of paddling on the Tampa Bay area rivers, estuaries, and the Gulf of Mexico. Open to all paddlers, regardless of skill level since most paddle trips will be "Easy" paddles of about 5 to 8 miles.

The Plan: Meet at the Hillsborough River State Park campground located on US Highway 301, 7 miles south of State Road 54 in Zephyrhills, and 14 miles north of Interstate 4 east of Tampa. The Parks’ campground has 112 camp sites (90 available as of April 23rd, so make your reservations early) or you may choose to stay at a nearby motel. All paddles will have TBSK Trip Leaders and will leave from the Hillsborough River State Park.

Reservations for the Hillsborough River State Park can be made up to eleven months prior to your visit date by either calling 1-(866) 422-6735 or 1-(800) 326-3521 or visiting www.ReserveAmerica.com.

A brochure describing the Park is available on line at www.FloridaStateParks.org.

BONFIRE LOGS

We are asking each participant from Florida and the southern portions of Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia to bring a small piece of burnable wood from your area for our bonfire event on Friday evening. To mitigate the spread of diseases or importing invasive critters, please bring a paper with your name and club name or a fire log to add to the bonfire if you are coming from an area outside of these locations.

ARRIVE WITH A FULL TANK

We suggest that you fill up with gas before you arrive in the immediate area as the Hillsborough River State Park is in a rural area and most paddles require a commute.
